Triad’s girls basketball program suffered its fifth straight loss to the hands of Fairlawn, 35-22.
The Lady Cardinals fell to 2-7 overall following the non-conference matchup.
Jazz Ford posted the best point today Monday night collecting 14 total followed by Mia LeMay (6).
Triad trailed the visiting Jets 11-8 after the opening quarter. LeMay posted a field goal along with a three-pointer in the timeframe.
Both squads equaled one another in the second period scoring four points on either side. Two baskets by Abbey Overfield and Ford kept the Lady Cardinals in the game with a two-point deficit at halftime, 15-13.
The Jets separated from Triad on the scoreboard during the third quarter of action. Fairlawn posted eight points while Triad mustered one after LeMay made half of her two free throws.
The Jets outscored the Lady Cardinals again in the fourth period, 12-9. Ford scored all of Triad’s points in the stanza before the home team ultimately lost the contest 35-22.
The Lady Cardinals will return to the court today hosting conference foe Madison-Plains (5-1). The Lady Cardinals are 1-4 in Ohio Heritage Conference games.
