Triad Cardinals fall to Ridgemont

Triad’s boys basketball squad fell 63-22 to Ridgemont on Tuesday.

It was the first contest of a busy three-game week for the Cardinals, who slipped to 1-17.

The opening quarter featured two physical, hard-nosed teams trading possessions.

Above is what remains of the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado that caught fire as a result of a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 33 Wednesday morning. The driver of the Chevrolet, Dejuan R. Meek, is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, but was not issued charges since he was quickly transported to a Columbus-area hospital with significant injuries.
