Fairbanks girls roll past Northeastern

The Lady Panthers of Fairbanks wrapped up their 2025-2026 basketball regular season with a weather-related makeup game at Northeastern.

FHS, which rolled to a 46-17 victory, improved to 17-5 overall and 14-2 in the North Division of the Ohio Heritage Conference.

Alcohol believed to be a factor in fiery U.S. 33 crash

Above is what remains of the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado that caught fire as a result of a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 33 Wednesday morning. The driver of the Chevrolet, Dejuan R. Meek, is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, but was not issued charges since he was quickly transported to a Columbus-area hospital with significant injuries.
