Don’t eat it too fast

A slushie-eating contest was held at the Union County Fair Tuesday evening to see who could down the frozen beverage the fastest, resulting in some temporary headaches and sore teeth. Above, two girls compete to finish their slushies while one young contestant struggles with a brain freeze. Additional photos from the contest can be found on page 8 of Wednesday’s newspaper. The fair also held a watermelon-eating contest, photos of which will be included in Saturday’s edition of the Marysville Journal-Tribune.
