Dayton OSP post investigating two-vehicle fatal motorcycle crash

By From JT Staff Reports

The Dayton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a two-vehicle fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Oct. 9, 2026, at 5:24 p.m. at the intersection of Harshman Road and Ramblewood Drive, in the city of Riverside, Montgomery County, Ohio.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2007 Buick LaCrosse, operated by Linda Adkins, 73, of Dayton, was traveling southwest on Harshman Road. A 2008 Harley Davidson Dyna Fat Bob operated by Nathan Carlton, 43, of Dayton, was traveling northwest on Harshman Road.

The Buick failed to yield while turning left onto Ramblewood Drive and was struck by the Harley Davidson in the intersection. Carlton succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. Adkins did not sustain any injuries from the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Riverside Police Department, Riverside Fire & EMS, Montgomery County Coroner’s Office, and Sandy’s Towing and Recovery.

The crash remains under investigation at this time; speed is suspected to be a factor.
