The three-vehicle crash on U.S. 33 at 11:27 a.m., Thursday, led to both lanes of the highway being shutdown as first responders work to cleanup a fuel spill from a Marathon tanker, pictured above. Reports from agencies at the scene indicate that the tanker was following too closely and rear-ended another vehicle. Several individuals were honored for their life saving efforts during a cardiac incident in Jerome Township on Sept. 29. The lower left corner of this sample ballot from the Union County Board of Elections shows five candidates running for Marysville School Board, though one was withdrawn from consideration. Bob Sements has dropped from the race and in Jerome Township candidate Jay Regula has also withdrawn. The bridge into Magnetic Springs from Route 37 is now open to traffic after construction ended last week. The 41-year-old bridge was closed to traffic on July 16, 2024 following an inspection by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), which revealed deteriorated components of the structure.
